Your account & sign-in data

Your account information (like your email address and sign-in method) is used to sign you in securely and to connect you to your own subscription, uploads, and saved activity — nothing more.

We record certain data associated with your account — sign-in times, device and browser information, and support conversations — for security, fraud prevention, customer support, and reporting purposes.

Photos, videos & audio you upload

If you're a resource author, you own every photo, video, and audio file you upload. Uploading it to Stories from Trees does not transfer ownership to us.

What you upload does grant us a limited license to host, store, and display it — only in the way you've chosen. A file you mark as "preview" is shown to any visitor; anything left as "full" is shown only to entitled subscribers, or to you. That license ends the moment you delete the file or the resource it belongs to — we remove the underlying file from storage, not just its listing.

We never sell your uploaded photos, videos, or audio to third parties, and we don't use them to train external AI models.

Likes & comments

A comment you post is yours — we display it exactly as you wrote it, alongside your name, to anyone who can already see the photo it's on.

The resource's own author (or a platform administrator) can hide or delete a comment left on their photos, and you can always delete your own comment yourself.

Center Regeneracija content

The Center Regeneracija masterplan renders, retreat photography, and mission copy shown in this app are owned by us — they're fixed marketing and planning material, not something any visitor or author uploads, and they're not part of the gallery/upload system described above.

Subscribing funds Center Regeneracija's construction, but it doesn't give you any ownership, equity, or legal stake in the retreat center, its land, or the company building it — it's a subscription to app content, not an investment.

Marketing communications

We don't currently send marketing communications. If that changes, we'll ask for your agreement first — you'll always be able to opt out again, and we'll never require marketing consent to use the app or keep your subscription active.

Who else processes your data

We share the minimum data needed with a small number of specialist providers who run parts of the service on our behalf:

• Supabase — authentication, our database, and file storage for your uploads.
• Stripe — payment processing for your subscription. We never see or store your full card details.
• Mux — video hosting and streaming for uploaded videos.
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails, like sign-in codes and invites.

How long we keep your data

Deleting a photo, video, or audio file removes it from storage immediately. Deleting a resource removes every photo, video, audio file, like, and comment attached to it, not just its listing.

Account deletion is handled by request today — contact us (below) and we'll delete your account and associated personal data, subject to what we're legally required to keep (for example, billing records).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
